Brown McLeod, a global firm of Chartered Accountants established in 1980, required a new Sheffield headquarters that reflected their brand and supported modern ways of working. The challenge was to transform 9,400 sq ft of The Old Workshop into a sophisticated workspace that balanced the building’s industrial character with a refined, high-quality finish.

The brief necessitated a complex spatial plan: a welcoming first impression reception, multiple spacious meeting rooms for global client consultations, private individual offices and extensive specialist archive storage to support their long standing financial operations. 

The project also required careful coordination within an existing structure, with programme and cost certainty maintained throughout.

We delivered an 18-week turnkey fit out, managing design, programme and delivery as a single accountable team.

Design: Crafted an industrial character paired with a refined, high-quality finish utilising exposed architectural features of the workshop paired with premium materials, soft lighting, and high end furnishings.

Build: A comprehensive redesign, full strip-out and reconfiguration with the installation of high spec WC facilities, a contemporary kitchen/breakout hub and a secure, high density archive area.

Technical: Integrated high-performance acoustic solutions within the meeting rooms and individual offices to ensure absolute client confidentiality.

Regulatory: Ensured full compliance with financial sector storage requirements and modern accessibility standards within an existing heritage-style structure.
